The selection of work presented here has been done for FreedomWorks, a national grassroots organization in Washington, DC. In my role as Creative Manager I have spent a considerable amount of time reigning in the work that was previously done by a number of outside firms. My first priority was to bring a visual cohesion to our materials. After establishing a style and language, I've been riffing on it and letting it organically grow. I like calling it Hipster-Americana.
It's all just playing with the tropes that the membership is familiar with and trying to find some new ways to present them. Stars and stripes, eagles, red, white, and blue, it's a pretty well tred landscape - but it's exciting to come up with some new way to use them.
